Winnie Ntshaba (pictured) is set to join the House of Zwide cast as Faith Zwide. She plays the supportive and well dressed – hopefully! – wife. Winnie Ntshaba (born 1 September 1975), is a South African actress best known for her role in Generations on SABC 1. She began her career in the 2000s before making her breakthrough in Yesterday (2004 film).

  • Ntshaba is best known for playing Khethiwe Buthelezi on the SABC 1 soap opera Generations (South African TV series). She studied acting at the University of Natal (Durban).
  • Winnie was born on 9 September 1975 in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
  • She has one older sister, who inspired her to further her studies.
  • She attended the University of Natal (Durban), where she obtained her BA Drama Honours degree.

  • In 2000 she moved to Johannesburg and participated in educational and industrial theatre shows for AREPP Shoestring Productions. Then she starred in the 2004 television drama Jozi Streets.
  • Ntshaba was cast as a supporting actress in the 2004 film Yesterday with Leleti Khumalo, this was her major film gig, she received positive reviews for her role.
  • In the same year, Ntshaba was cast in her first leading role in the 2004 film drama Shreds and Dreams directed by Claire Stopford. and later appeared in three productions: Russian Services Lethal Force (supporting role).

About House of Zwide

The telenovela will premiere on Monday, the 19th of July, 2021, on eTV. House of Zwide time slot be will be from 7.00 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays, the primetime slot that Rhythm City currently holds. Rhythm City soapie will air its final episode on the 16th of July, 2021, marking the end of its 14-year era on the channel.

House of Zwide will premiere on 19 July. The show will introduce viewers to a fashionable Johannesburg family who brings high drama and ruthless ambition as they rise in the cut-throat fashion industry.

House of Zwide will be produced by Bomb Productions and VideoVision Entertainment. Bomb Productions produced shows such as Zone 14, Gazlam, Isithembiso, Isibaya, and the controversial high-school drama Yizo-Yizo.

Videovision Entertainment has produced films such as A Place Of WeepingCry, The Beloved CountryYesterday, and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, as well as Sarafina.
