Di you know that Actor Mlungisi Mathe is one of the Mzansi celebs who have answered his ancestral calling?. Mlungisi Ncube, who is well known for his role as Emkay on Skeem Saam, is already a practicing sangoma but still going through the ukuthwasa, initiating the process. “Fortunately, there are things I already knew and understood.. His character on Skeem Saam is one of the most talked-about despite being corrupt and a womanizer. Aside from acting, he is also a musician known by the stage name Skhandi Boy.

Before appearing on screen, he participated in theatre productions. In the early days of his career, Mathe landed a role in John Kani and Winston Ntshona’s theatre piece titled The Island.

The popular Skeem Saam actor answered his ancestral calling and is practicing as a traditional healer known as a sangoma. Though, he is still going through ukuthwasa and shared in an interview that “the journey was confusing”.

“Fortunately, there are things I already knew and understood. Although it’s been hectic, lots of things were revealed to me. I found out about stuff I didn’t know about myself, stuff I didn’t understand from a young age. I now understand why some things happened” said Mlungisi.

Mlungisi was born on July 14, 1990, in Zonkizizwe, Katlehong near Johannesburg, South Africa.
