Rage is directors include Jaco Bouwer, a multi-award-winning theatre director who’s one of three Best director nominees in the drama series category at the 2020 SAFTAs, for Dwaalster.

Rage started showing on Showmax from Tuesday, 31 March 2020.

Rage plot

Rage film basically follows a group of school-leavers who really want to party. They head to a small coastal town to celebrate their freedom; the town looks peaceful but things turn out really bad for them.

Rage features some of South Africa’s talented and most loved young stars like Shalima Mkongi from Isithembiso and Nkululeko stars as Sihle.

We also get to recognise Jane de Wet (Roxy) and Tristan de Beer (Kyle) who are well known from Showmax’s acclaimed series, The Girl from St Agnes.

Nicole Fortuin starred in Flatland, an award-winning film which premiered at the Berlin Panorama, while Carel Nel (Albert) had roles in the films Dwaalster, Hum and Slaaf.
