The young lady has been part of the SABC 1 soap opera, Skeem Saam, since 2011. Lesego plays Rachel Kunutu on the daily drama, a high-maintenance sugar baby with a very strict mother Celia Kukunu (played by Shoki Sebotsane).
Her very first acting opportunity was in Sifiso; a short film which use to showcase on Mzansi Magic. Marakalla has received the following awards:
