Uzalo is a South African soap opera produced by Stained Glass Productions, which is co-owned by Kobedi “Pepsi” Pokane and Gugu Zuma-Ncube. The story of two families in the township of Kwa-Mashu: the Mdletshe family, who play a significant role in the management of the Kwamashu Kingdom Church, and the Xulu family who run a car theft syndicate. It initially told the story of two young men who were switched at birth and one being raised in a family with core Christian values and the other at a crime syndicate.

Nkunzi disowns Sibonelo. Sbu gets a call that’ll change the course of his life and MaDongwe is mad at Mrs Madlala for putting umjolo first above their business.

Njinji wants Nomaswazi and Sibonelo to run KwaNjomane for her. Hleziphi is inspired to make the career day a success. Mrs Madlala struggles to find an employee, until Mrs Nhlapo shows up.

Nomkhosi is nervous about becoming the Chief of her village. Sbu is tempted to steal lunch at work. The council descends to chaos as Nkunzi arrives during the nomination of the new Chief.

Nomkhosi sets her sights on destroying Nkunzi’s campaign while Gabisile feels abandoned by her husband. Hlelo allows her emotions to get the better of her while the Shlobos find themselves between a rock and a hard place.
