The River viewers have been praising last night’s episode of The River, which saw Emma Dlamini becoming the victim of a sexual assault at the hands of a man she had put so much of her trust in. While a lot of viewers agreed that the rape scene was the most painful thing to watch, many stated that the scene triggered painful memories they thought they’d buried.
Emma, played by Lunathi Mampofu was about to sign a deal of a lifetime with a potential investor called Zithulele who she was introduced to by her mother-in-law Lindiwe Dikana.
Viewers saw her presenting her business to Zithulele, played by Makhaola Ndebele, who seemed impressed with her beauty product and was willing to invest in her business idea.
The two went on to his office to sign the agreement when a powerless Emma was then thrown onto his desk and unfortunately raped.
What angered viewers, even more, was that after he left her crying in his office and bragged he was on his way to his wife. How can someone be so cruel.
