Skeem Saam is an educational television drama that has many citizens tuned in to their television screens on a daily basis. Recently, the TV soapie has been giving its viewers endless amounts of drama, and many have been enjoying it.

So much has changed with the storyline after it was discovered that Kwaito is John Mapulta’s son. Years back, he had a one-night stand with Miekie’s best friend NaNtuli. When the news broke out, it left many in shock, and the friendship between the two women has unfortunately ended. Now that everybody knows who Kwaito’s real father is, and Miekie was found guilty of almost trying to kill MaNtuli and her son after DNA results proved the truth.
The Mapulta households are broken to pieces, and they are no longer a place where a family co-exists. John has been left all alone while his wife is serving her time in jail, Thabo, his son, is overseas working together with his own family and Leeto, deciding that he will be moving back to Joburg, seeing that he does not have a life anymore in Turfloop. John has been left alone in the big house he shared with his family.
This has affected him badly to a point where he seemed to have stressed so much and it affected his health negatively. While he was alone in the house preparing food, he fainted.
And Kwaito found him laying on the kitchen floor crying that he had woken up. It seems like now that Mr. Mapulta’s health is affected and he needs someone who will take care of him, MaNtuli might move into Miekie’s house in order to help John Mapulta with running the house and also take care of him.
