Siphosihle’s date of birth is on the 4th of August 1997. She is 22 years old and celebrates her birthday every year on August 4th to honour her date of birth.

“My mother, the most supportive woman I know and my best friend, was over the moon when I told her. She made me realise how amazing it is for somebody to graduate and get an opportunity to do what they studied for.”

Career and Education

Siphesihle Ndaba attended her high school at The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG)l.OWLAG helped her develop an interest in acting as it was compulsory for a student to have at least two subjects in the art department. Siphesihle chose to do to dance and drama. After high school, Ndaba went on and studied Dramatic Arts at Rhodes University (2016-2019)., where she graduated with an Honours Degree.

Mazet

Siphesihle plays the role of Mazet who introduces Ntokozo into the life of crime. The Mazet is Siphelishle’s first TV role.

On Gomora, Mazet is the gorgeous and dangerous young woman who tempts Ntokozo into a life of crime. She is an Alex girl. She is spunky, but she has a tragic quality too. She is the product of an extremely broken home, the victim of abuse and extremely unpleasable history. She went to work for Mam’Sonto and found the mother figure she never had at home.

How she got the role of Mazet in Gomora

Speaking to Channel24 she Siphesihle revealed the process that led to getting the role. She said she had to send an audition tape from London where she had gone on a travel bursary.

“I was in London at the time, on a travel bursary, and I had to ask everyone I was with to help record my self-tape. Everyone was assigned a role; from cameraman to the extras and I am so grateful that they were all willing to help me. We taped it, I sent it back to his team and they asked me to come in for a second call back once I arrived back in SA. That’s when I got the part.”
